Gazetteer

The specification of this project was to design a map-based app using HTML, CSS (preferably with a framework), JavaScript and jQuery / Ajax calls to PHP backend to serv information on countries from third party APIs. My solution provides users with general information, wiki info, useful statistics, weather forecast, bank holidays and currency converter for any selected countries. Users can also choose from different layers on the map giving them options to select from street view, satellite view, popular web-cam streams, cities and airports.
